2013 Radio Broadcast Support

Help bring BIG RED Football to the Puget Sound Region for the 19th consecutive year!

With much enthusiasm and great anticipation, it’s time to start looking forward to the 2013 season of University of Nebraska football on the radio. With Nebraska now a part of the Big 10, we have plenty of reasons for tremendous Husker football excitement in the Pacific Northwest this year.

Having the opportunity to listen to the Huskers each week on the radio is really a luxury that few locations around the nation have. Need to run an errand in the middle of the game and don’t want to miss a play? Don’t want to pay the additional money for advanced cable or pay-per-view packages and can’t get to a watch site to enjoy it? Want to watch the TV broadcast – but enjoy the familiar voices of the Huskers to give you a perspective on Husker football you just can’t get anywhere else? All GREAT reasons why providing these broadcasts each week is so valuable, and why we need your continued support. And, with Nebraska in the Big 10 this year – the game schedule will be somewhat unpredictable as to what games end up in more mainstream broadcasts (ESPN, ABC) and which ones end up only in cable or pay-per-view options like ESPN GamePlan or on one of the 5 channels in the Big Ten Network, so your contributions to the radio fund ensure you can hear every play of every game regardless of the TV decisions.

 

RADIO BROADCAST DETAILS:

  • Live coverage of all regular season games!
  • Games will be aired on Puget Sound radio station KKNW/AM 1150 (Bellevue). Enhanced quality of the broadcast’s reception is also available on KKNW’s digital station at 98.9 HD Channel 3.
  • Game "feed" provided by the Pinnacle Sports Network
  • Streaming audio from 1150KKNW.com

 

RADIO DONATION RECOGNITION LEVELS:

  • Lil' Red Booster: up to $99
  • Black Shirt: $100-$499 (your name & hometown are read on each game's broadcast)
  • Champions: $500 - $999 (same as above, plus one 30-second message promoting your favorite charity)
  • Hall of Fame: $1000 and up (same as above, but with two 30-second messages)
  • Pre-Game Show Sponsorship: $250. This allows you to sponsor a live, pre-game radio show from one of our TV watch sites (The Lucky 7 in Kirkland, Red Door in Seattle or Cheers in Lacey). KKNW will have one of their on-air sports personalities host the 30-minute show and conduct live interviews with the fans.

We now have two options for Radio Broadcast Donation. You can print and fill out the donation PDF form, or you can donate online via PayPal by using the buttons below.

The cost to broadcast the games in the greater Seattle / Puget Sound region is more than $15,000 annually. We appreciate all of our advertisers, Blackshirts and all individual contributors at our TV Watch Parties. You may even want to consider promoting your company’s services via a WA Cornhusker Radio advertisement. They are affordable and give you highly targeted exposure to a desirable, local audience.

If possible, we’d appreciate receiving your contribution by August 15, so the Radio Fund will be financially strong before airing the first game on 9/1/2012 as the Huskers host Southern Miss .
