Michigan State game

Hi WA Huskers,

First, some “Good Life” bragging -- several of you spotted this great article on the Smithsonian website this week. Happy to pass it along…
Lincoln, Nebraska: Home on the Prairie
The college city's big sky and endless farmland gave this New Yorker some fresh perspective

Now, on to the gridiron -- after a tune-up against a rebuilding Minnesota team, the #14 Huskers return to Lincoln to host a tough game against the #11 Michigan State Spartans (who toppled Wisconsin in an unbelievable finish last week) this Saturday Oct 29 with a 9am Pacific kickoff on ESPN. (details here)
For the optimists out there, a bit of trivia from one of our members…let’s root for a repeat of this success!
Michigan State University has lost all five prior meetings versus the Huskers.  The last loss was in the 2003 Alamo Bowl (17-3).  Pelini is 1-0 versus Michigan State as he was the Interim Coach during the 2003 Alamo Bowl.  In 1996, the last time the Spartans played in Lincoln, the Huskers won 55-14 rolling up an impressive 666 yards of offense.

It’s a morning game this week, and our fabulous watch sites will be open and ready to accommodate (details below). Join us!
